Board Director (Fundraising and Philanthropy) - Voluntary Position

Community Restorative Centre Ltd (CRC) is a registered Public Benevolent Institution that has been providing a range of services to people involved in the NSW criminal justice system, and their families, since 1951. We are the lead provider of specialist throughcare, post-release, and reintegration programs for people transitioning from prison into the community in NSW and have well-established relationships throughout the sector.

We have a committed Board of Directors with a range of expertise and experience. They attend six (6) after hours Board meetings a year, represent the board on at least one sub-committee, and provide strategic support, expertise and guidance to the CEO as required. All Board Directors are volunteers.

We are seeking an additional Board Director. We are particularly interested in someone who has the fundraising expertise to assist us to grow, diversify and develop opportunities to secure long-term resilience and sustainability. The capacity to harness philanthropic sources of funding would be well regarded.

To be appointed you will need experience in driving partnerships, developing fundraising strategies and be able to show a commitment to helping CRC expand its funding sources. Experience working on not-for-profit boards would be beneficial but not essential. An understanding of our work is not necessary, but a passion for human rights will place you in a good position to contribute to board decision-making.

General information about CRC, including our Annual Reports, can be found on our website
