What is Good Jobs?

Good Jobs is an online employment platform that will help you get ahead and also give back.

Good Jobs lists internships, jobs and board positions in the not-for-profit, community and government sectors as well as good jobs offered by B Corporations and businesses.



What kind of roles can I find on Good Jobs?

On Good Jobs, you can find job listings for full-time, part-time, permanent, temporary, or contract positions as well as internships in the not-for-profit, community and government sectors or the for-profit sector with organisations that fulfil our job advertising criteria - see here for more on this.

You can also find board vacancies listed by not-for-profit and community organisations, government agencies, and schools and tertiary institutions.



How much does it cost to advertise on Good Jobs?

Good Jobs charges not-for-profit and community organisations, and schools $55 (inc. GST) per job/internship advertisement while qualified for-profit organisations and government agencies are charged $95 (inc. GST) per job/internship advertisement.

Note that we do not charge for board position advertisements.

Who can advertise on Good Jobs?

Good Jobs accepts advertisements from all not-for-profit and community organisations, social enterprises, B Corporations, and most government agencies. Additionally, Good Jobs also advertises certain roles from for-profit organisations depending on the role and the organisation. A for-profit organisation must meet certain criteria before being eligible to advertise with Good Jobs. Is Good Jobs free to use?

It's free to sign up, create organisation profiles, search and apply for job/internship opportunities, and use the free information and resources.

It is also free to post board vacancies.

Good Jobs charges not-for-profit and community organisations, and schools $55 (inc. GST) per job/internship advertisement while qualified for-profit organisations and government agencies are charged $95 (inc. GST) per job/internship advertisement. Account Information


How do I create an account with Good Jobs?

Click the 'Join' button on the top right corner of the page and you will be taken to the Join Up landing page. Enter your email and choose to become either a job seeker or a job advertiser (link yourself to an organisation). If you are already a member of any other Our Community website, you can use the same login and password to access Good Jobs.



I've forgotten my password. How do I log in?

Click on the 'Login' button on the top right corner of the screen. On the login landing page, click on 'forgotten password' and follow the instructions.

How do I change my password?

Login to your account using your original email address and password. You will be immediately taken to your 'Account Settings' page where you can change your password.



How do I change the email associated with my account?

How do I delete my Good Jobs account?

What are Email Alerts?

Email Alerts are emails sent to you based on your preferences set in My Account Settings. You can receive email alerts when a job is posted by one of your saved organisations or relating to your saved preferences.



How do I create, edit, or delete my Email Alerts?

To create, edit or delete email alerts you will first have to go to your Account Settings. Here, you will find your Job Seeker Profile Settings where you can subscribe and unsubscribe to the Good Jobs Weekly newsletter and change your preferences around receiving email alerts.



Can I change the frequency of my Email Alerts?

Yes, in your Account Settings you are able to specify how often you would like to receive newsletters and email alerts. You can choose from daily, weekly or never.



What are saved searches?

A saved search is a search with particular specifications (job function, areas of focus, employment type, etc.) set out by you. You can view your saved search at any time and filter jobs accordingly. Your saved searches will appear in the left-hand-side search box on the job listings page.



How do I save a job search?

When you make an intern or job search, you will be given the option at the bottom of search box to save the search. Name the search and click save - it will now appear as a saved search in the search box and in your Account Settings. To delete a saved search, simply click the 'Remove' button next to the saved search.



How do I save a specific job?

You can save a job in two places. On the:

Job listings page

When you are on the job listings page, each job listing has a black 'Save Job' button in the top right corner of its job summary frame - click this to save a job. To unsave this job, you can click on the red 'X' that now appears on that same button or you can go to your Job Seeker Profile.

Job description pages

When you are on a job description page, the same black 'Save Job' button will appear below the job title on the left side of the job description - click this to save the job. To unsave this job, you can click on the red 'X' that now appears on that same button or you can go to your Job Seeker Profile.



How do I save an organisation?

You can save an organisation in two places. On the:

Organisation listings page

When you are on the organisation listings page, each organisation listing has a black 'Save Organisation' button in the top right corner of its organisation summary frame - click this to save an organisation. To unsave this organisation, you can click on the red 'X' that now appears on that same button or you can go to your Job Seeker Profile.

Organisation profile pages

When you are on an organisation profile page, the same black 'Save Organisation' button will appear below the organisation name on the left side of the organisation profile - click this to save the organisation. To unsave this organisation, you can click on the red 'X' that now appears on that same button or you can go to your Job Seeker Profile.



How do I view my saved searches, jobs and organisations?

To view a list of your saved jobs and organisations, go to your Account Settings by clicking on your name in the top right corner of the screen. Here, select your Job Seeker Profile and you will see a list titled 'Saved Items' - all of your saved searches, jobs and organisations will be listed here.



How do I unsubscribe from Good Jobs emails?

To unsubscribe to Good Jobs emails you will first have to go to your Account Settings. Here, you can subscribe and unsubscribe to the Good Jobs Weekly newsletter and change your preferences around receiving email alerts.



Do I have to sign up to use Good Jobs?

Job seekers

No, you do not. However, signing up is free and allows you to receive email alerts with new opportunities that match your saved search criteria, as well as view the 'How to Apply' section of job advertisements.

Organisations

Yes, you do. Signing up is free and is necessary to upload an organisation profile and post an advertisement.

What is an organisation profile?

An organisation profile highlights the excellent work that an organisation is doing. An organisation profile provides background information, contact details, and website and social media information about the organisation. They also list the jobs currently advertised by the organisation.

An organisation profile is not a place for you to advertise any of your vacancies.



What kinds of organisations can create profiles on Good Jobs?

Any organisation that is able to post job advertisements is also able to create an organisation profile. To gain a better understanding of what organisations can post job advertisements and create organisation profiles, see what makes a good job?



How do I create an organisation profile?

Click the 'Join' button on the top right corner of the page and you will be taken to the Join Up landing page. Enter your email and choose to become a job advertiser. Fill out the forms, creating an account and organisation profile, allowing you to post job advertisements.



What can I post?

All approved organisations: not-for-profit and community organisations, B Corporations, government agencies and for-profit organisations can post job advertisements and paid internships.

All approved organisations: not-for-profit and community organisations, schools and tertiary education institutions, and government agencies can post board vacancies free of charge.



Does Good Jobs review or edit posted content?

We do review content. We review every job that has been posted before it is published (this usually takes no longer than 24 hours). We also review new organisation profiles to ensure they were created by someone from that organisation and that they are appropriate for Good Jobs. If you see something that you think is inappropriate or inaccurate, please let us know.



How do I delete my organisation profile?

If you wish to delete your organisation profile, please contact us through service@goodjobs.com.au.



How do I post an advertisement?

To begin with, you must register your organisation with Good Jobs. Once you have registered and your organisation profile has been setup, you login and click 'Advertise' and then choose the role type you wish to post.



How can I write a more effective job advertisement?

Good Jobs provides an abundance of information in the Resources section of the website. Here you will find numerous articles detailing different aspects of writing job advertisements.



How much does it cost to post a job advertisement on Good Jobs?

How do I pay for my job advertisement?

Paying for your advertisement on Good Jobs is easy. Just login, upload all of your information and when you get to the preview page click on the 'Post Job' button and you will be taken to the payments page. Here you can put in your credit card details or opt for an invoice. Choose your method, proceed and you are done.



How long will my job advertisement appear on the site?

Job advertisements last for 30 days. You can delete a post before the expiration of the advertisement as well as repost the job advertisement (for a fee) at any time - just contact us at service@goodjobs.com.au.



I'm a third-party recruiter. How do I post on behalf of my client?

You must create an organisation profile for your recruitment company and post the advertisement under your name. When posting the advertisement you will be given the option of writing what organisation you are posting 'On behalf of'.



Can I post listings if I'm not part of an organisation?

No, you cannot post any listings if you are not linked to an organisation.



Can I use a single listing for more than one position?

Each job advertisement should be for one role in the organisation. However, if you wish to post a job advertisement for multiple of the exact same role, this can be specified in the job description.

What is Good Suppliers?

Good Suppliers is an online directory where Australia's not-for-profit and community organisations can find specialist social sector product and service providers.

Businesses and personal contractors listed in the Good Suppliers directory are certified by Our Community as a preferred specialist product or service provider to Australian Not-for-Profits.



How do I become a Good Supplier?

Click on the pink 'Suppliers' button on the top right corner of the page and then click 'Add a Supplier'. You will be taken to the Join Up landing page. Enter the required details to create a Supplier profile.



Do you review or edit Good Suppliers?

Yes, before being added to the directory, Good Suppliers are reviewed by The Good Jobs Team to ensure that they meet Our Community's standards of certification.



How much does it cost to become a Good Supplier?

A one-year Good Supplier subscription costs $500 (inc. GST).



Security & Privacy


Is my personal information safe?

We worry about security as much as you do. We take all reasonable steps to ensure the security of the personal data we hold from such risks as loss or unauthorised access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure of data.

We want to ensure that all of our members and customers can interact with us with complete confidence online.

  • We've created a secure transaction environment for commerce on the internet. Our e-commerce system uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to ensure your experience is safe, sound and secure at all times.
  • TLS/SSL locks all information passed from you to us in an encrypted envelope. This makes it almost impossible for it to be intercepted by an unauthorised party, as long as your browser and local network support the use of encrypted data transmissions.
  • TLS/SSL is the system used by all reputable e-commerce sites. The industry standard for encryption technology, TLS/SSL is compatible with all major browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera and more.

Are the Good Jobs and Our Community websites secure?

Any time we ask for financial information from an individual or an organisation we use industry practice and protocols. All such information is encrypted when transferred over the internet using certificates from Thawte, an industry leader in internet safety. Your browser will show a green bar with our name "Our Community Pty Ltd" whenever an encrypted TLS/SSL connection is in use, which confirms that your data is being transmitted securely and you're transmitting it to us.

All account and profile information located on our website is password-protected to provide additional security. All transactions conducted on our site are treated with the privacy and respect that all such transactions deserve.
