Northern Health Foundation
Northern Health is the major provider of healthcare services across our Epping, Broadmeadows, Craigieburn and Bundoora locations. Northern Hospital is also undergoing redevelopment with a new tower being built with the first stage due to open in March 2019.
The care we provide within the community is broad with Northern Hospital being one of the busiest healthcare services in Victoria. Over the last 12 months we have provided care for:
* 99,446 patients through our Emergency Department
* 93,913 hospital admissions
* 3,798 babies delivered
* 228,808 outpatient appointments
* 28,889 ambulance arrivals
* 6,766 children's admissions
* 10,098 elective surgical operations
* 206, 720 pharmacy items dispensed
As we are situated in the Northern Growth Corridor with significant growth projected over the next decade the demand for our services will continue to increase year on year.
Northern Health Foundation's purpose is to fundraising to support the work of Northern Health and to fund research, training and education. Funds are directed towards teaching, training and research; education; capital works and the purchase of medical equipment within Northern Health.
We work collaboratively with Northern Health to engage our clinicians, volunteers, staff and community to develop a culture of philanthropy through innovative engagement.
